Security By Field on Record

Setting up security according to a field on the record to be secured is often done for tables such as purchase orders, invoices, and more. It's also often done in conjunction with other methods of setting up security.

1. First, you need to navigate to the page you wish to secure.
2. Next, decide which field on the table you wish to use to drive the security. This is often a drop-down for the status of the record.
3. Access the security for the page/
4. Create a record exist evaluation, choose the current record starting point for the query, and create one or more filters to detect the appropriate circumstance(s) you wish to check for (e.g. Status = Open).
5. Create the appropriate actions (either hide form or set modes actions) inside the pass or fail section of the evaluation, as appropriate.
