Regionalization (Field Settings)

Regionalization is an option on the following fields:

The option allows for international values.

In a time-based field, you can choose to display timezone selection. When this setting is checked, a selection box will appear next to it to allow you to choose when to display the timezone option. Choose “Add & Edit Modes Only”, “All Modes”, or “View Mode Only”. In View Mode, the current timezone will display along with the time. In Add and Edit Modes, your users may choose the timezone for this Field.

For Date Fields, the standard in the United State is MM/DD/YYYY. In most of Europe, however, the standard is DD/MM/YYYY. The Date, Date Time, and Calendar Forms in WorkXpress update themselves to automatically adjust to these standards by reading information from the Timezone and Locale settings. If you want to test these settings and see what your application will look like in other countries, you can adjust your settings manually.

For Address Fields, this setting simply adds an additional line of information, which suits most regions globally. In the database, this enables an additional Field Part which can be accessed normally.

For Telephone Fields, this setting adds an additional input area which suits most regions globally. In the database, this enables an additional Field Part which can be accessed normally.

For Currency Fields, you can choose which symbol to display - US Dollar, Pound, Euro, Yen, or define your own symbol.
