Previous article: How do I build?
Developing features and functions is only a part of the software process…you will still need to use a robust build-test-deploy software development lifecycle practice, and when ready, you will need to deploy and manage that software in a web-based production environment! Fortunately, WorkXpress provides an easy to use, fast, visual tool-set for all of that as well.
The following video provides a short walk-through of the Systems Administration features of WorkXpress. It is highly recommended that you take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with these capabilities - you will encounter these tools upon first logging into your WorkXpress platform account.
To get started, you only need to create your platform account, log in, and then click the icon of your new development environment to launch it.
When your account is first created, there's a good chance that someone else created it for you and sent you login information. Once you login using the Username and Password provided, you will want to change your password immediately to something only you will remember.
You will need to repeat the following process for each application you are setup in, which means you will usually need to repeat this process twice; once for your WorkXpress platform login, and once for the first development application that was created.
For each application, you will commonly find a “User Profile” link in the upper right hand corner of the application.
Click on this link, and the page you see may vary from application to application. But they should all share a form that allows you to change your password; just enter your new password, and then reenter it (to make sure you didn't type it wrong), and then save the new password. Assuming your entries matched, you're all set.
