Manage Payments on the WorkXpress Platform

Your WorkXpress Platform account (at http://projects.workxpress.com) is equipped with a wallet.

What is a wallet?

A Wallet is like an Account with a balance in it. At the end of each day the platform calculates the amount you owe for service during that day and deducts this amount from your wallet.

What happens when my wallet empties?

When your wallet falls to $0, your applications and/or clouds will become disabled due to billing, and you will loose access to these services until you bring your balance back over $0.

How do I recharge my wallet?

There are two ways to add funds to your wallet;

  • Manually, by adding a lump sum
  • Automatically, by enabling “automatic recharging”. Automatic recharging works simply; every time your balance falls below a specified amount, it automatically adds a specified amount. It will not exceed a total authorization that you specify.

How do I update my Wallet

1. Log into your WorkXpress Account

2. In the upper right corner, find your account balance, and click

3. Adjust the settings for your Wallet

Example

Let's assume that you expect to pay $500 per month for services on the WorkXpress Platform.

Scenario 1 : Automatic Payments

The platform will reduce your wallet balance by one days usage each evening, in this example, in a month with 30 days it would be reduced by $500/30 or $16.67. In order to keep your balance above $0 and to give you at least a week of lead time if there is a problem charging your credit card, you decide

  • …every time your balance falls below $100
  • …recharge your wallet with an additional $500
  • …and you'd like to authorize this for up to a year, or $6,000 over that time.
To setup Automatic Payments, you would:
  1. Sign into the WorkXpress Platform at https://projects.workxpress.com.
  2. Under the large blue “Create an Application” button on the right is a statement of your current wallet balance; likely $0.00. Click on the balance.
  3. The Financial Overview page shows your account balance, monthly usage, and has controls for making One-Time Payment or Enabling Automatic Payments.
  4. Click “Automatic Payments is Disabled, Click to Enable” the red button on the right.
  5. For our example, enter the following values:
    • Whenever my balance falls below: $100
    • Add this amount to my account: $500
    • Authorize these settings until: One year from now
    • Or until this amount has been charged: $6000
  6. Click Save
  7. A new button appears to allow you to login to your Amazon account and authorize this payment. Click this button and follow their screens to complete authorization.

Once the automatic payment authorization is setup, it will check your balance to see if it's below your recharge threshold and if so, it will execute your first recharge, adding funds to your wallet.

Scenario 2 : Manual Payments

Following our example above, your accounting department wants to pay for the first year of this service in advance. For this scenario, you decide:

  • …to make a single payment of $6,000
To make a One-Time Manual Payment, you would:
  4. Click “Make a One-Time Payment”, the blue button on the left.
  5. For our example, enter the Amount as $6000
  6. Click Save
  7. A new button appears to allow you to login to your Amazon account and authorize this payment. Click this button and follow their screens to complete authorization.

Once the one time payment is authorized, it will execute the recharge, adding funds to your wallet. However, the funds will still only be drawn down on a daily basis.
