This action will generate the string that will be encoded by the barcode field. The barcode field must be configured so that it renders as a 2D Datamatrix that reads the value stored on the field. The field can then be used in a report to generate a cover sheet that the fax sender can use. If the barcode is not present in the incoming fax it will fail to attach to any record in the system. There are 2 pieces of data that will come in with each incoming fax. The first piece of data is a pdf containing the pages of the fax and the second piece of data is the count of the pages. | ||

The third step would be to use a Fax Barcode Value Generation function to build the data and store it in a barcode field. Then lastly generate a report that the end use can access that contains the barcode field and any other information you would like to provide so that the end user can run and print the cover page. When the end user then sends a fax to the number received from WorkXpress with the barcode generated from the system the document and page count will be stored in the appropriate location. | ||
