====== Alternate Display (Field Setting) ======


For a [[Field Type - Telephone|Telephone Number]] field, the alternate display allows you to make "click-to-call" integration. You can define your own hyperlink that would appear in view mode, and they could click it to have their VOIP service call their phone and connect the call.

For a [[Field Type - Website|Website]] field, the alternate display allows you to display alternate text instead of the default URL you entered when creating the field. 

For an [[Field Type - Email|Email]] field, the alternate display allows you to display alternate text instead of the default email address you entered when creating the field. For example, you could have the email link display "Contact Us" instead of the email address.
